French opera comique arias from the 18th century

Tender, funny, virtuosic, delicate, anxious, joyful, sentimental, sensational... We know Carmen, the most famous French 'Opera Comique' - a work which alternates spoken dialogue and arias - but we know much less about those of the 18th century, which produced some of the most famous arias of their time.

The sparkling Marie Perbost shares some of these rare pearls with us.
